This is a book cover I did for an upcoming book, The Lone Werewolf, from Melange Books. The stock images used are from Dreamstime: (http://www.dreamstime.com/stock-photography-angry-wolf-image18076302 and http://www.dreamstime.com/stock-photos-heritage-days-image2981113). All other images are my own. 🙂
I used Photoshop CS6 and Lightroom 4.0.
A SciFi based photoshoot. My main goal was to get pictures that resembled the main character in my young adult novel I’m writing, Distant Horizon. Stacia modeled for me, and luckily we were able to get the vine armband to work. There’s also a sneak peak at one of the Honors College project book covers I’m working on on Flickr. 🙂

Sometime a light doesn’t work. Or it comes with a missing screw when you go to attach it to the backstand. Or the chord’s too short, and you switch that chord out for the one in the bag with the non-working light. Either way, backups are useful, and when you don’t have two lights, it gets time to be creative with one light.
During class we worked in groups to take pictures of each other for a couple hours. We were supposed to use a hair light, but seeing as we didn’t have the second light, we tried positioning each other on ambient light and against windows and reflections.
I had a large part of my fun in the editing process– playing with harsh light versus soft light can have very different results.

These are some of the photos that I used in Mid Program for my portfolio. I focused on digital imaging. Also, I presented mock book covers (though Distant Horizon is a mock book cover for a story I am currently working on with my fiance) and movie posters as ideas for potential clients.

These are more photo manipulations I did to practice creative photography and texturing with Adobe Photoshop CS4.
This is a set of photography I decided to do based on playing with texturing and combining multiples photos rather than being based on the Another Day series. I used Photoshop CS4 and Bridge for these. My fiance posed as the model in some of them.
A continuation of my creative photography classwork, this is the first set done directly for the “Another Day” series project that I am currently working on.
More humanistic animal photo montages for my Creative Photography Class. They are part of my "Another Day" series I have been working on.

For my creative photography assignment 5, I took photos from my Texas Trip and used Photoshop to duplicate and flip half of the picture to create the reflection. I made a picture out of each side, thus creating a paired picture.

These are pictures for my creative photography assignement 3. Here I wanted to play more with textures and photomanipulation/photo montage. All the pictures are ones I have taken. Animal pictures came from photos I took last summer at the Wichita Zoo. Several other photos had thier roots in the Texas Trip I took over Spring Break.
