Now that we’re in February, it’s time for another monthly Infinitas Publishing Status Report!
I’ve highlighted the projects that had changes in blue. 🙂
* * *
Starless Night: (Book 3 of the Distant Horizon series). Final proofread complete! This was my primary writing goal for January. Next step is to input the notes from the proofreading and format the print edition.
Changing Tides: (Book 4 of the Distant Horizon series). This was on hold while I proofread Starless Night for the print edition. I’m hoping to complete the first round of revisions of Changing Tides in February. (This would be for the first 50,000 words).
The Glitch Saga (Distant Horizon spin-off series): Goal is to eventually create a new cover and print edition for the complete collection edition. (On hold).
Galina’s Saga (Deceived) – (Distant Horizon spin-off series): Working on revisions. I’m 40,000 words into what is currently a 61,000-word manuscript. This is one of the longer books in the series.
Next month I hope to complete the first round of revisions on the rest of Deceived #2, as well as Deceived #3.
Future Goals: Add Isaac’s notes from Deceived #4 into the manuscript, revise Deceived #4, and revise #5 before handing it to Isaac for his feedback. Additionally, I still need to finish updating the book cover and decide on a series title.
Lily’s Story: (Distant Horizon series spin-off/prequel novel) On hold. (Has outline).
Sky Runner: (Multiverse novel). On hold. (Has outline)
The Multiverse Chronicles: On hold. (Needs edits).
Little One: On hold. (Needs revisions).
TWB 4: (Book Four of The Wishing Blade series). Needs rough draft written. Needs updated outline. On hold.
Runes and Ravens (Stone and String 3): Needs outlining and revision. On hold.
The Secret in the Shadows: (Prequel novella for The Wishing Blade) On hold.
The Legends of Cirena – Collaborative Adventure Facebook Group: On hiatus.
The Dark Forest of Aneth (“Ro’nor (“The Restless Sands of Neel”) & Zynia (“The Dragons of the Mist”) cross-over / A Legends of Cirena short novel): On hold.
Goals: Rough draft needs completed via the Collaborative Adventure Facebook group, and there are a couple scenes I’d like to add earlier in the story. I already have a book cover concept, which still needs to be completed.
The Wind Mage and the Wolf (“Livena (The Wind Mage of Maijev”) & Nuaka (“The Gryphon and the Mountain Bear”) cross-over / A Legends of Cirena short novel) : The Joran short story project is on hold.
Legends of Cirena Epic: Outlining phase on hold, with the current step being to create a map of Litkanston and figure out the different tribes. I have made progress on the Litkanston map, though I still need to finish adding jungles, forests, and other terrain.
Here’s a quick picture of the current sketch:
(It is considerably larger than the Cirena map, which fits on one sheet of paper, rather than six, with another couple pages missing from the top).
The Cirena epic is intended to be a back-burner project.
“MOG”: On hold. (Needs revisions)
Changeling: (Huntress #2) The main print formatting is complete! I still need to create the wrap-around cover and adjust the front and back matter for the print edition, but it’s almost ready. I’m hoping to release this around the same time as the Starless Night print edition.
Huntress 3: Needs rough draft completed. (Currently at 25,000 words) On hold.
Game Design: On hold.
Future plans in game design involve: possibly preparing a print-and-play version of Battle Decks, polishing the elemental game card art and testing mechanics, and looking into options for feasibly producing Phalanx.
Space Adventure Comic: On hold.
Villain Problems: (WIP panels viewable on my Instagram). On hold.
Emberverse (Working Title): Revisions on hold. Needs title. Needs outline for “Season 2.”
Marketing: No paid ads for January, though I did have my BookFunnel Promos. I’ve since realized that the Twitter post analytics don’t tend to tell me much, since I’ve started posting about the promos there, too, and had more success in sharing them. I also tried to have at least one daily post on my Twitter page.
I’ve also scheduled next month’s Weekly Promo Highlights.
Additionally, I’ve been looking into options that might allow me to sell our print books across multiple retailers, and not only Amazon. The current one I’m looking at testing is Draft2Digital. I’ll have to make some changes to the internal formatting (no full page bleeds, so chapter first pages will need adjusted), but I’m hoping to run a test soon.
I’ve also started working on setting up mailing list automations for a newsletter welcoming sequence. Still working on getting everything lined up correctly, though.
Future goals: Revise Amazon ads, link to my pinterest account on the Infinitas Publishing website, overhaul book categories and keywords, and do the usual business ledger upkeep.
LitRPG / GameLit Story: On hold. (Needs revisions and restructuring).
Other Stories: I wrote and submitted an 8-page comic script to an anthology I was hoping to submit to. While it wasn’t accepted into the anthology, I did have fun putting this together and experimenting with writing a comic script, which was a new medium for me. I’d still like to see the script produced, but I’ll need to do some research into where else I can submit it.
The YA SciFi Alien Invasion/Dystopian Conspiracy short story revisions are on hold.
Untitled Fantasy Story: The untitled fantasy story Isaac and I were plotting in Scrivener last month now has a full outline (about 14,000 words) for the first book, and several scenes plotted for the second book (outline at about 8,800 word).
It turned into a longer story than expected (surprise surprise…).
We still need to review the first book’s outline to make sure everything holds up and the beats are in place (and make sure character arcs/motivations are lined up properly), but the current step is plotting book two. We already know the end point, but still need to figure out how characters get there. That said, I don’t plan on writing this trilogy until we have the plotting of the series complete. (Additionally, I’d hope to finish a few other projects first, unless I reach a burnout point where I simply need to go write something else for a bit).
SBibb’s Photographic Illustration: The cover and formatting project I’ve been working on for the indie press is now complete! Files formatted, proofed, and uploaded to their retailers/distributors with an updated blurb. Both versions of the book are now up for pre-order!
Future Goals: Update the Infinitas Publishing website banner. Figure out a schedule for uploading general art projects.
Daz PA: As a quick update, my holiday freebie, SBibb Snowball Fight Props and Poses, got approval to stay live in the store, so it’s now back up on the site. Woot! 😀
In the meantime, I’ve been working on a magic-themed pose/prop effect set. Ran into some technical difficulties, so it’s now on hold. I plan to start a new set while waiting for updates as to what might be causing the issue. Originally I’d planned on updating an older set but wanted to try something less complex to get back into practice. Less complex…
I underestimated the scope of the project.
Anyway, I’m thinking of trying an illuminated makeup set next, or a simple pose set (actually simple this time), before jumping back to the older sets.

Happy writing and reading (Or 3D rendering if you’re into Daz)! 🙂
