More humanistic animal photo montages for my Creative Photography Class. They are part of my "Another Day" series I have been working on.

These are pictures of my fiance that I took for my editorial class. The idea is fashion, particularly of more formal wear. No flashes, but an occasional reflector was used. Retouching was done in Photoshop.

For my creative photography assignment 5, I took photos from my Texas Trip and used Photoshop to duplicate and flip half of the picture to create the reflection. I made a picture out of each side, thus creating a paired picture.

These are some of the family pictures I took for my cousin during Spring Break. I thought I’d post a few of them for her on Flickr to see while I’m still in the process of editing them.

Last class period, Professor Jerry Schmidt baked bread and brought food to make sandwiches and salads for an in-class food shoot. The plan was to shoot tethered to the computer and work as a team. So the class seperated into four groups and worked together to create a delicious-looking pictures of food. These are pictures that our group took, taking turns while the other members enjoyed fresh bread dipped in olive oil. I’m not sure which ones I took and which ones the other members of my group took, but I thought I’d post several in case someone wasn’t able to get access to the photos. I did some post-processing to the photos in Adobe Lightroom 2.0.

During Spring Break, my boyfriend and I traveled down to the Dallas, Texas area to visit my cousin and take her family pictures. While there, we went to downtown Dallas, as well as few other places, to take pictures. These are some of the results, edited for my Editorial class assignment. None of these have Photoshop retouching; all post processing was done in Lightroom 2.0. The restaurant shown is Sambucca.

These are pictures for my creative photography assignement 3. Here I wanted to play more with textures and photomanipulation/photo montage. All the pictures are ones I have taken. Animal pictures came from photos I took last summer at the Wichita Zoo. Several other photos had thier roots in the Texas Trip I took over Spring Break.

My Creative Photography class is taking a shot at HDR (High Dynamic Resolution) images using Dynamic Photo HDR. Some of the pictures were shot on a trip to Texas (with this class in mind for those exposures) and some were shot during an in-class shooting day. Most were shot with a “correct” exposure plus two stops up and two stops down.

These are pictures I took of the Jennies Blackout Basketball Game for my editorial class. This was University of Central Missouri versus Truman state in the MIAA game. This was the last home game of the season. As per requirement of the class, I called in for a press pass, but when I got there one hadn’t been made for me. Fortuanetly, one of the staff there was able to get permission for me to get on the floor to take pictures.
I discovered that I most enjoy getting pictures of action and expressions… and also half-time events.

These are theatre headshots I took for a student of theatre. These were taken in the school’s studio with profoto lights and a beauty dish, as well as a softbox for a floor light, and a gridspot for the hairlight. It was a roughly one and a half hour photo session, after which I let her see proofs via the webpage-maker in Adobe Lightroom. She chose the ones she wanted me to edit, and I retouched those as well as making them black and white and in the 8.5×11, 8×10, and orginal size formats.
This is also the photoshoot that my Canon Rebel XS decided to show me Error 99. Luckily I was able to run downstairs to checkout a Canon 30D from the photo department. Most shots were with the Rebel, but a few of them were with the 30D.
